and on it GOES....

I only have about 3 shows left for the con season.  I am really looking hard at next year and expanding where i go, while possibly decreasing where i have been. After doing certain shows for a few years, i realized, i probably will not grow or gain anything more from doing certain shows every year. I had a bad experience with one show in particular, and attempted to resolve it in a peaceful manner, but was all but ignored.... A version of me from a different time in life would have reacted differently, did something or said something.... but the me of today looks at business and life differently. I handle certain things differently. It's business at the end of the day and even if it's crooked business, I can make choices that move me in a different direction. I don't even make my choices to try to get "even", i just strive to do better myself, and grow my overall brand and expand my reach for the success of what i do and the family i do it for. The example i set to the people i speak to, the people i speak for, and the people i will eventually speak with..... So with all that said, my usual show line up will see changes next year. Certain "regulars" with become every other year, while others i may drop all together. The ones that have been good to me, not just financially, but  the organizers behind them are just good people, will remain. Shows like Dave and Ricks Charlotte ComiCon. Its a 1 day show, but its fun, they treat everyone great, and have been very kind no matter what!! I will do that show as long as they have it and allow me to.  I treat every person who approaches my table at shows like they are the most important person i will meet that weekend. Even if i get busy, i try to not make anyone feel unimportant.   Or like they only matter as long as they are spending money, i honestly probably loose money sometimes because i talk with people who aren't buying just as much as those who are buying, making potential customers look over and think "he is busy i will come back" lol,  something i am working on, slowly, balance. But the point is, don't wait til someone becomes something greater to treat them great.... not so much me, but people in general. But the bigger reason for my change up is that some hows are the same for me or peeked at a certain point and are dropping down rather than increasing. So i realized that it is time to expand and go to locations out of my usual and see other places. I Did maybe 15 shows this year, a lot to some, nothing to others, but good for me. Next year i may decrease the conventions in numbers, but pick up some locations i have never been and hopefully expand my reach. I have hopes to return to Atlanta next year, see Texas, and maybe venture to Chicago twice in one year for shows.... Either way, the show goes on, i am also looking into appearing at some Colleges, something i haven't done in a while and something i have studied over time to handle better. I am also looking into art shows for next and putting some events together that expand what i am doing that isn't directly me drawing or coloring or designing, though all of those elements play a sweet part of it all.  Growth.....  it seems simple enough.  So anywho, forgive the long verbiage, Oh and the prints above are up for sale including 5 limited hand inked and numbered sign versions, as well as the traditional print @ 11x17 in size.....
speak soon,
wOlly
p.s.
i met a young lady who loves transformers and left her email to get copies of books sent to review, i may have emailed the wrong email but not sure, if you are reading this, email me to let me know i got the wrong email lol or the right one....

Raffle has ended!!!

So, i had a raffle and there was some really great support for it, all but one winner has gained the work they won, i announced the winners on Face Book, i don't have the names handy to post here, but the art work is already in everyone's hand except one person, we are working his out currently!!  Thank you to all who supported!!....

Now this weekend is a great yet sad weekend for me, i am going to one of the coolest events of the year in Columbia South Carolina, Cola Con!!!! its the shows third year, and i am proud to have been part of it from the start. The sad thing is, Comic Book City Con happens this weekend as well, and i was one of the first to sign up for it, then had to cancel due to Cola Con being the same weekend... thing is though, Cola Con is Friday and Saturday, and Comic Book City Con is Saturday and Sunday. I had thought about asking if i could do a table for one day, but i figured the space was worth more to those guys and didn't want to waste a space someone else could fully use. I suck i know, i should have linked with someone and maybe sat with them for a day and paid them for the chance to be there, if i can't work out the details for this, this year, i will certainly aim for next year!! I really like being part of shows early....

On another note, i have to post some work here soon, i have been more active on my social networks than here and refuse to link everything, so i gotta get to updating.....

Last thing, a button will be going live with some preorder options for a new art book i am doing called Black Book Scribbles.... the book will be a  8x11 hardcover with100 pages of art, design, sketches, unreleased pieces, concepts  etc. and will have a few options starting at $40. There is a limited number of books to be sold in this run and aa limited time at the rates, so if your reading this now, check the tabs above for the button to appear if it isn't already there. This will be a great coffee table book piece!!

thanks to all, hope to see you at a show soon,
wOlly
